The older I get, the less I know what the word exclusive actually means.

Once upon a time, exclusive meant exactly that. You picked one person. They picked you. Everybody else became background noise.

...

And the the 2020's happened, and people decided to throw standards out the window... what’s weird is now cool, and what’s not weird is considered...... weird.

Now? Exclusive can mean “we’re dating, but we’re seeing other people” - Anonymous – (Girl, UWS)

or

“We’re emotionally exclusive, but sexually open” - Anonymous (M, M, Hell’s Kitchen)

or a New York City, bestselling, latest fad “We’re not looking for anyone else... unless someone really hot walks in.”.When did commitment become a Terms & Conditions agreement?

What's Everyone Saying?

“Sex is just sex. Love is love. Why should one cancel out the other? – Anonymous (

“I like American cheese. My partner likes Swiss. Why should we both stop eating sandwiches because we order them differetnly if we both enjoy sandwiches” – Anonymous

“My boyfriend is a top. I’m a top. Neither of us are bottoms, so inviting someone else isn’t cheating. It’s logistics.” – Anonymous

“Being open doesn’t mean I love my partner less. It just means one person doesn’t have to be everything” – Anonymous

“I love my partner I think he’s the most charming person in the world, however his d*** is just far too small” - Anonymous
